Policies are important!

As a general rule, we’re pretty easy to get along with, but there are a few policies we stick to, and you should too!

New Clients – Welcome!

To ensure we have adequate time to familiarize ourselves with your pet, we ask first time clients to factor in 15 minutes prior to the appointment for a free consultation. This time will be used to discuss your pet’s general health, any concerns you may have, discuss the style you’d like, and to welcome your pet!

We do our very best to produce the style of trim you’re looking for, so don’t be surprised if we ask a lot of questions to ensure we’re all on the same page!

If your pet has any health concerns, please let us know!  While we treat every pet gently, some health conditions require special handling.  Communication is key to an excellent groom.

Grooming Schedules for Pets

Pets that are groomed regularly are healthier and happier!  Maintenance grooming ensures that your pet’s skin and coat glows with health. Grooming removes dead skin and hair, prevents tangles and matting that can hurt your pet, and allows a professional groomer the opportunity to inspect the skin and coat, looking for abnormalities.  Plus, more frequent grooming teaches your pet to love the process!!

The comfort and health of your pet is our priority.  We will be moving to a maintenance grooming schedule.  All clients who pre-book monthly appointments will benefit from discounted loyalty pricing and the option to book their pets for the entire year.

Pricing will be based on the time, care and attention required, which can increase or decrease due to the frequency of your pet’s grooming schedule.  The more frequently you choose to have your pet groomed, the less you’ll pay each groom.

Appointment Cancellation & Rescheduling

Please understand that when you forget or cancel an appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive our services. As our staff’s time is reserved specifically for your pet, the following policies and fees apply:

  • There are no fees applied for cancellations or reschedules that have given 24 hours or more notice (minimum one business day).
  • Cancellations or reschedules giving less than 24 hour notice (one business day) will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
  • No Shows or Cancellations on the day of the appointment will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
  • Clients who have missed a previous appointment will be asked to pay in full when booking all future appointments. These payments are non-refundable in the instance of a missed appointment.
  • In order to book your next appointment cancellation fees must be paid in full.
  • Please do not cancel an appointment by responding to the automated text message appointment reminder provided as this does not remove an appointment from the schedule and no show fees will be incurred.

Late Arrivals

Please make it your priority to arrive on time for all appointments as appointment times are not flexible. While we do our utmost to accommodate clients that arrive late, clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may miss their treatment time. We do appreciate clients may be late through no fault of their own, however we also have a duty to our other clients who keep to their appointment times.

  • We reserve the right to charge the full price of appointments that are missed due to client lateness.
  • Pre-payment for future services will be requested when a client has been late for 2 or more previous appointments.

This policy enables us to run an efficient salon and provide the required time needed to service all our clients. We confirm appointments at the time of booking and 24 hours prior to your appointment date. However, if we are unable to reach you, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time to avoid a late arrival, missed appointment, and the cancellation fee.

Health Status

If your pet is not feeling well (e.g. vomiting, diarrhea, kennel cough, etc.) please do not bring him/her to the salon for their own comfort and the safety of our other clients. Please advise our staff of any change in your dog’s health or medical condition upon arrival so that we may update your pet’s file.

Senior Pets

Generally speaking, pets over the age of 10 are considered seniors and may have underlying health conditions. If this will be your pet’s first time at our facility, we would like to take the extra precaution to ensure that you understand that older pets may be more susceptible to stress.

Also, as your pet ages, it may take more time, care and attention or additional assistance to complete the groom in order to ensure their safety and comfort.  As such, be aware that pricing for your senior pet may increase depending on their needs.

Pests (Fleas, Ticks, Lice, Etc.)

Please note that dogs with fleas or lice cannot be accepted. If your dog has fleas/lice, please treat them one week prior to visiting the salon. Should your dog be brought to us with an infestation which is discovered after the groom has started a pest surcharge of $50 will be added to your invoice.  This fee covers the additional time, effort and special products required to get your pet bug free and ensure the cleanliness of the salon to prevent cross-infection to other pets.

Potty Time!

A full bladder or bowel can be very uncomfortable for a dog while it is being groomed. Please ensure that your pet has been toileted before bringing them to the salon. If your dog defecates on the lawn, please use the provided poop bags to clean up.

If your dog potties during their treatment which results in them needing an additional bath, a minimum cost of $20 will apply to cover the additional time needed to complete the groom and your pick-up time will be pushed back.
